The consumer product safety commission has set up guidelines for using fabric in children's items.
Flammability: If the fabric has pile (think fleece, velour, flannel, terry, something fuzzy or raised) then the fabric will need to be tested to ensure that it is a class 1 fabric.
Our certificates are updated yearly to comply with CPSC guide lines. As a fabric retailer we are not required to do testing on our fabrics, but we offer this as a service to our customers.
