This is to be printed off on US letter sized 8.5" x 11 inch paper from a desktop printer. The files will be available for immediate download from a link in your purchase confirmation email. Although this animal doll pattern is formatted for US letter sized, it can also be printed out on A4. Both metric and imperial measurements are included in the pattern.

Purchase includes: 1 goose/duck pdf sewing pattern and tutorial, 1 goose/duck kerchief sewing pattern and tutorial, and 1 goose/duck bow tie sewing pattern and tutorial.

This pattern that can be completed as a confident beginner sewer with basic skills in machine sewing and understanding of simple hand stitching skills. The printed tutorial includes detailed, clear written instructions paired with photos.

MATERIALS:
-1/4 yard (0.25 meters) or random scraps of yellow/ochre fabric for the beak and legs.
-3/4 yard (0.5 meters) of white or cream fabric for body and wings of goose.
-matching thread for all fabrics
-black embroidery thread
-polyester filling for stuffed animal
-scraps of fabric for kerchief or bow tie

Woven fabric such as, cotton, muslin, or linen works well. Soft cuddly polyester works well too. Microfiber fabrics that are not too plush will work as well. When you are sewing on the wings of the goose you will be sewing through 4 layers of fabric so ensure the fabric you are choosing is thin enough for your machine to be capable of this. Most fabrics will work fine for the kerchief and bow tie

TOOLS:
-sewing machine (unless sewing by hand)
-scissors
-measuring tape
-washable fabric pen
-straight edge or ruler (optional: quilter's ruler)
-embroidery needle
-pins
-iron
-pinking shears (optional)
-desktop home printer

SIZE:
The finished goose/duck will measure approximately 19 inches (48 cm) tall, not including the feet. The height may vary slightly depending on the fabric and stuffing used.

SEWING MACHINE OR HAND SEWN:
-The pattern is written expecting a sewing machine to be used and and very minimal hand stitching is needed. The opening of the goose will need to be handstitched closed. The face can be drawn on with a permanent fabric marker instead of embroidered, if you do not want to embroider.
-If you do not wish to use a sewing machine, this goose could also be hand sewn. Just trade out the sewing machine stitching to your favorite hand sewing stitch in the tutorial. Hand sewing the goose may take a while since it is a fairly large toy.

Use this plushie pattern to create the perfect soft toy for the little ones in your life. It can be used over and over again. I have made four geese for my children. They provide much entertainment as they play and snuggle them every night. Taking their ducks on 'adventures' has created hours of fun, imaginary play, and make believe.

This pattern is for personal use and home sewing only. If you wish to use this pattern to make items to sell, please contact me.
